Two laptops lost at Istanbul Airport
Two laptops lost at Istanbul Airport
In September 2026, Nurani contacted Ana Kurye after losing two laptop computers at Istanbul Airport.
The laptops had been lost around the airport security process, but fortunately both devices were later located.
İGA Istanbul Airport Lost & Found confirmed that the laptops had been found.
By this stage, however, their owner was already outside Turkey and needed someone in Istanbul who could manage the collection process on their behalf.
That is when Ana Kurye became involved.
Two separate Lost & Found references
Two separate Lost & Found references
The case involved two laptop computers with separate Istanbul Airport Lost & Found references.
Both laptops were silver and each weighed approximately 2 kg before final packaging.
The owner provided the information required to begin reviewing the case, including the Lost & Found references, item details, approximate value and delivery destination.
The final destination was Texas, USA.
For privacy reasons, the customer's complete residential address, telephone number and email address are not published.

Coordinating with İGA Istanbul Airport Lost & Found
Property held by İGA Lost & Found normally requires an authorization process before another person can collect it on behalf of the owner.
Ana Kurye guided the customer through the required paperwork and remained in communication during the approval process.
Once the documentation had been submitted, Ana Kurye contacted İGA Lost & Found to confirm that the collection requirements had been completed correctly.
Because the property consisted of laptop computers, additional verification was also required before release.
After the necessary confirmation was completed, Ana Kurye arranged the airport pickup.
Recovering both laptops
Recovering both laptops
Once authorization was approved, both laptops were collected from Istanbul Airport.
For a customer who had already left Turkey, this was the critical part of the process.
The computers were no longer simply “lost.”
They had been located and were waiting at the airport, but somebody still had to complete the local paperwork, attend the Lost & Found office and physically recover them.
Ana Kurye handled that process locally in Istanbul.
International shipping required a special solution
International shipping required a special solution
Shipping laptops internationally requires additional care because laptops normally contain lithium batteries.
Not every international courier route accepts electronic devices under the same conditions.
For this case, different international delivery options were reviewed.
The final solution required the laptops to be handled as two separate international shipments rather than one combined shipment.
This allowed the recovery process to continue while complying with the applicable courier acceptance conditions.
The laptops were therefore prepared and dispatched separately to the United States.
The first laptop arrived safely

During the process, the customer confirmed that the first laptop had successfully arrived.
The second laptop was then prepared for its separate shipment.
The complete result was later confirmed publicly by the customer in a Google review.
Nurani wrote that Ana Kurye had successfully recovered two laptops that were lost at Istanbul Airport, coordinated with Airport Lost & Found, collected them and shipped them to the United States.
A successful Istanbul Airport laptop recovery
A successful Istanbul Airport laptop recovery
Laptops are among the more complicated lost property items to return internationally.
There are several parts to consider:
airport Lost & Found authorization; identity verification; collection permission; secure pickup; packaging; lithium battery restrictions; international courier acceptance; customs requirements.
This case required coordination at each stage.
Both computers were ultimately recovered from Istanbul Airport and returned to the United States.

If Istanbul Airport Lost & Found has confirmed that your laptop has been found and you have already left Turkey, Ana Kurye may be able to assist with the collection process.
Useful information includes:
İGA Lost & Found reference number; confirmation that the laptop has been found; laptop make/model if known; approximate dimensions; approximate weight; second-hand value; destination country; postal code.
International shipping for laptops must always be checked individually because lithium battery and courier restrictions vary by destination and carrier.
Ana Kurye is an independent courier and lost property collection service and is not Istanbul Airport, İGA or an airline Lost & Found department.
