4 October: a family suitcase waiting at IGA
4 October: a family suitcase waiting at IGA
Montha Koseni contacted Ana Kurye on 4 October 2026 while she was outside Turkey. IGA Istanbul Airport Lost & Found had located her small red suitcase, weighing approximately 10 kg. Its contents were family belongings: clothing and shoes for her mother and younger brother.
Her first preference was to have the suitcase sent to Israel. DHL, FedEx and other transport possibilities were investigated, and Jordan was subsequently considered as an alternative destination. These were planning options, not completed shipments.
6–9 October: authorization and airport collection
6–9 October: authorization and airport collection
During 6–7 October, Montha prepared the requested authorization documents. IGA advised that the paperwork was complete and that the suitcase could be released with the customs officer's approval.
Ana Kurye collected the suitcase from Istanbul Airport on 9 October. The full Lost & Found reference and the customer's identity documents are not published. Collection was carried out through the office's release process; Ana Kurye is an independent courier service, not IGA's official representative.
A shipping quotation changed the plan
A shipping quotation changed the plan
A DHL quotation totaling USD 782 including the service charge was communicated for the international option on 9 October. Montha considered it too expensive, so alternatives remained under discussion. This was a quotation for that particular request at that time, not a current price or a payment record.
She then explained that she might travel to Istanbul and preferred to receive the suitcase in Turkey. The task changed from arranging a possible overseas shipment to coordinating a local handover around her travel plans.
12–15 October: arranging delivery to Darkhill Hotel
12–15 October: arranging delivery to Darkhill Hotel
On 12 October, Montha requested delivery to Darkhill Hotel in Istanbul. The local delivery was planned around her stay.
By 15 October, poor weather and restrictions affecting motorcycle courier operations made arrangements more difficult. Because she intended to leave the hotel the following day, delivery to the hotel was organized that same day. This account does not establish that the final journey was made by motorcycle during a restriction.
Montha received her suitcase and sent a detailed message of thanks. The completed destination was her hotel in Istanbul. The suitcase was not shipped to Israel or Jordan.

The supplied images show the airport collection and the red suitcase during local handling. They are arranged by the stages they depict because exact photograph timestamps were not supplied. A further photograph shows the suitcase beside a Beso Roof Top display; that image alone does not identify Darkhill Hotel.
